What you'll be doing
This Occupational Therapist role offers a leadership opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for consumers with mental health needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialised OT services within a recovery framework.
- Managing complex caseloads with professional independence and collaboration.
- Designing and implementing individual and group therapy programs.
- Providing expert consultation, supervision, and leadership in evidence-based practices.
- Ensuring consumer-centred care aligned with WSLHD values and standards.

Essential requirements
- Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapist
- Registration: Current full registration with the Australian Health Practioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated mental health experience in the use of Standardised Occupational Therapy Assessment tools.
- Demonstrated experience in evidence based service provision and commitment to recovery based programs, implementation and evaluation.
- Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation in their treatment and care plan development, working with families and carers.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in student co-ordination and commitment to supervision of students, implementing education programs and liaison with University placement coordinators.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, organise work in an effective manner and maintain partnerships.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence valid in Australia.
