The Role
The Medical Radiation Scientist Section Manager (Nuclear Medicine) is to oversee day to day operations of organ imaging, in vitro and computer procedures within a section of the Nuclear Medicine Department.
The MRS Section Manager is to perform both clinical and administrative duties relating to the daily running of a Nuclear Medicine department, under the direction of the Deputy Chief MRS (Nuclear Medicine) and Chief MRS(Nuclear Medicine

Selection Criteria
- Tertiary Qualifications (including degree, diploma or certificate) in Nuclear Medicine
- Registered with AHPRA-MRPB
- NSW EPA licence with S14, IA27, IA16 or IA16D
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine including experience with PET and BMD along with ability to determine priorities for others, allocate tasks, coach and monitor work performance of staff to achieve work objectives
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to bring a creative approach to problem solving
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and customer service approach
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures
- Demonstrated experience of working effectively in a hospital or clinic setting
