Step into a senior clinical role where your expertise directly shapes better outcomes for people with severe and persistent mental illness. As part of the SWSLHD PCLI/IDMH and NDIS team, you’ll help drive meaningful culture change across the district, strengthening recovery pathways, improving service coordination, and supporting safe, sustainable transitions back into the community. Working closely with inpatient units, community mental health teams, and the statewide PCLI network, you’ll bring leadership, clinical insight, and system‑level advocacy to some of the most complex and rewarding work in mental health. Based at Liverpool Hospital, this district‑wide service gives you the rare opportunity to influence practice across multiple sites while contributing to innovative, consumer‑centred models of care.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Relevant qualifications as an Occupational Therapist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with recent extensive experience working in mental health.
- Please describe a recent example where you provided advanced, recovery‑oriented assessment and treatment for a consumer with severe and persistent mental illness and complex needs. How did you apply evidence‑based practice, strengths‑focused approaches, and your clinical judgement to support their recovery?
- Tell us about a time you demonstrated leadership or clinical supervision within a multidisciplinary mental health setting. How did you use your communication, problem‑solving, and advocacy skills to influence service delivery, support team members, or improve outcomes?
Do you have a current Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)? if you hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
