An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Dietitian within South Western Sydney’s Mental Health Service. This position plays a central role in supporting the medical nutrition therapy of mental health consumers across inpatient and community services across Liverpool and Fairfield Mental Health Service. We are looking for a dietitian with strong clinical and advocacy skills, with specialist knowledge in mental health, who is passionate about promoting dietetics to consumers and clinicians. The role is integrated into a multidisciplinary service that involves a Clinical Nurse Consultants, Exercise Physiologists, Peer Support Worker and General Practitioners. The service supports physical health interventions for mental health consumers, aims to upskill mental health staff, engages with multiple stakeholders to improve continuity of care. This position will be supported by the Dietetics Department within Liverpool Hospital in addition to oversight from the Mental Health Service and will additionally work alongside a speciality Mental Health Dietitian position at Campbelltown Hospital. The preferred candidate will be able to manage their caseload independently and work flexibility across inpatient and community sites. This role will provide the opportunity to support student supervision, quality and research initiatives.

- Work alongside a variety of stakeholders
Selection Criteria

- Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
- Can you describe a time when you managed a complex mental health case load, including how you applied your advanced clinical knowledge, collaborated with carers or external providers, and ensured evidence-based care?
Tell us about an initiative you have contributed to that improved service quality or clinical practice, including how you worked independently or within a multidisciplinary team, supervised staff or students, and used communication or systems such as CBORD to support the outcome.
