About the role

The Senior Finance Analyst supports the Principal Finance Analyst in the team and undertakes a range of financial and compliance activities in an Oracle R12 environment, including preparation and administering of NGO grants, Systems, and management reporting.
The role also carries out various Financial Administration tasks in line with policies and accepted accounting standards. This role provides compliance -driven financial insights and analytical support services to a range of programs, projects and stakeholders to support meeting organisational objectives.

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you'll be doing

  • Review and prepare grant-related budgets and quarterly payments to NGOs, ensuring compliance with funding agreements, financial policies, and acquittal requirements, and overseeing the NGO acquittal process.
  • Prepare forecasting and management reports for central cost centres within the Ministry, including the review and development of additional budget requests.
  • Perform gatekeeping functions for accounting transactions across the Ministry to ensure accurate coding, financial integrity, and compliance with relevant policies and delegation requirements.
  • Liaise with Ministry branches and the wider Health System to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the grants system and other financial systems, ensuring compliance with system controls and reporting obligation.
