Lead the Future of Cancer Care on the Mid North Coast
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in cancer care across the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD)? We’re seeking a visionary Senior District Manager, Cancer Services to drive innovation, strategy, and excellence across multiple sites within the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute (MNCCI).
This pivotal leadership role is responsible for shaping high-quality, patient-centred cancer services. You’ll champion operational performance, lead transformative change, and ensure services align with both MNCLHD priorities and the strategic direction of the NSW Cancer Plan 2022–2027.
In partnership with senior/executive leadership, you’ll set clear goals, define service standards, and lead performance initiatives that elevate care delivery. This role is proudly co-funded by the Cancer Institute NSW (CINSW), reflecting its strategic importance in driving system-wide improvements in cancer outcomes.

About You
We’re seeking a dynamic and visionary leader who is passionate about transforming cancer care. To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex health services across multiple sites, with a focus on innovation, integration, and continuous improvement in cancer care delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Strong experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and services, setting clear performance goals, and delivering measurable outcomes aligned with health system priorities.
- Change Management Expertise: A track record of successfully driving service transformation and leading teams through change in a complex healthcare environment.
- Collaborative Influence: Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships across clinical, executive, and community networks.
- Health System Insight: Deep understanding of the NSW health system, cancer care pathways, and the strategic goals of the NSW Cancer Plan 2022–2027.
- Commitment to Equity and Quality: A passion for delivering equitable, patient-centred care that improves outcomes for people living with cancer across regional and rural communities.

The Organisation
The Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) is a government funded health organization that covers an area of 11,335 square kilometers extending from Port Macquarie in the south to Coffs Harbour in the north. MNCLHD provides a diverse range of services to a population of approximately 215,000 people. It has a workforce of 4,694 across seven hospitals sites and 12 Community Health Centres.
