We have an exciting opportunity in the Ambulance Corporate Applications team for two Senior Developers.
Reporting to the Applications Manager - Ambulance Corporate Applications, you will be part of the team responsible for the technical development and maintenance of a number of custom and bespoke mission critical web applications managed by eHealth NSW to provide critical operations support to the NSW Ambulance service.
The applications are built using the Laravel framework and primarily utilising a VueJS front-end. These sites directly assist NSW Ambulance with operational delivery, patient care, and provide insight into many parts of the business, allowing managers to make informed decisions relating to operations, finance and staff welfare.

What you will do
As an integral member of the Ambulance Corporate Applications team, you will work within a team of people to deliver new functionality and expand the uses of these applications based upon user requirements. You will be involved in all aspects of development, including direct engagement with end users, scoping and documenting requirements, technical development of code, design, documentation and assisting users in testing.
Working with eHealth Infrastructure teams, you will be using Git source control and custom integration pipelines to have the solutions deployed to mission critical environments.
As an integral member of the Ambulance Corporate Applications team you will have opportunity to be involved in the future strategic roadmaps of these applications, assist in evaluating new technology across all stacks to determine its relevancy and suitability for mission critical corporate environments, and ensure appropriate documentation and governance around new features.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
- Development experience in Laravel and/or other PHP frameworks
- Development experience in Javascript, preferably VueJS
- Experience with CSS (with specific knowledge of TailwindCSS a plus)
- Experience with relational databases. These applications have overlap with both MSSQL and Oracle, so experience in one or both of these is a bonus
- Experience with source control, preferably Git
- Experience with the development of APIs, and the interaction with 3rd Party APIs
- Experience with testing frameworks and code documentation
