A unique opportunity is available for an experienced audiologist to temporarily join the audiology team at Royal North Shore Hospital. This temporary part-time position will be responsible for providing high quality audiology diagnostics and services at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) and across Northern Sydney Local Health Service (NSLHD). This position will manage and direct the delivery of services within the local health district and to speciality patients seen through the various clinics within the ambulatory care centre as well as patients referred from the emergency and acute wards at RNSH.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 11 June 2027  (with possibility of ongoing employment)

Remuneration: $63.81 - $65.36 per hour

What you'll be doing
We're looking for an experienced audiologist to join the acute care and outpatient service, focusing on ENT, neurology, radiation oncology, emergency and ward patients.

In this role, you will use your specialist skills and experience to manage and direct evidenced based delivery of quality audiology services at Royal North Shore Hospital.

You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, working Monday & Tuesday across a variety of clinics and acute care wards with real impact on hearing and vestibular function care for our patients.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Must hold a Master’s degree in clinical audiology which provides eligibility for full membership of the Audiological Society of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
  2. Extensive postgraduate clinical knowledge and experience in the provision of advanced audiology services within an acute hospital and a high level of contemporary interventional audiology skills.
  3. Advanced clinical experience and reasoning skills for post-operative grommet insertion or tympanoplasty management as identified by the operating doctor.
  4. Proven ability to work autonomously with confidence and limited supervision. Proven ability to prioritise work, manage conflicting demands, monitor individual performance, problem solve and utilise independent professional judgement.
