This is an exciting opportunity to join the Security team within South Western Sydney Local Health District and make a real difference by contributing to the safety, wellbeing and experience of patients, visitors and staff across our facilities. 

  • Play a vital role in maintaining safe, welcoming and supportive health environments across hospitals and services. 
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and non‑clinical teams to assist with patient management and daily operations. 
  • Provide guidance and assistance to visitors, helping them feel supported and informed while on site. 
  • Focus on the early identification, prevention and effective management of incidents to minimise risk and maintain safety. 
  • Protect people, property and assets while ensuring all activities align with work health and safety legislation and NSW Health standards.

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Current NSW Security Licence in accordance with the NSW Security Industry 1997 Class 1A, First Aid Certification and an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
  • Please elaborate on how your skills and experiences align with the role requirements, and highlight what you will bring to add value to the Security Team.
  • Can you elaborate on your understanding and application of security techniques, including conflict resolution, de-escalation, and restraint practices, in your previous roles?
