Where you'll be working

The role of a Hospital Security Officer is unlike any other security officer role. It is diverse and offers a unique set of responsibilities and challenges which set it apart from other traditional security roles. You will be working within a number of hospitals on the Prince of Wales Hospital Campus making it truly a one of a kind experience.

The Role

Security Officers are required to respond to requests for assistance from staff, patients and visitors on the hospital campus whilst promoting a cohesive and inclusive team environment.

Security Officers are required to promptly respond and provide a security response for all emergencies ensuring all security patrols, tasks and activities are completed in accordance with instructions and training.

Security Officers will have a genuine desire to understand and help others, and view interaction with all patients, staff, and visitors as a significant proportion of their role.

  1. Must hold NSW Security licence 1A: NSW Drivers licence “C” and a current relevant first aid certificate.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience providing security and customer service.
  3. Knowledge of alarm systems, access control system, CCTV and Fire Indication panels. Experience is desirable but not essential.
  4. Excellent written communication skills particularly in the area of report writing, and entering information into databases
