Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.

What you'll be doing

The Enterprise Systems Support role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, continuous improvement, and effective support of enterprise applications and platforms across The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN). This includes applying specialised functional and technical expertise, along with domain knowledge, to optimise business outcomes and proactively manage operational risks and opportunities. The role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of critical systems such as Nurse Call, Message Integration Engine (MIE), and Patient Entertainment System (PES).

Working collaboratively with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors, the Enterprise Systems Support will evaluate business processes, identify enhancement opportunities, and contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise solutions. As part of the Digital Health team, this role supports systems operating 24/7 and requires participation in an on-call support roster to ensure system availability. While not a frontline clinical role, the position may involve out-of-hours support to maintain continuity of essential services.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field or demonstrated experience with a proven track record in managing and supporting the lifecycle of digital system products within multidisciplinary teams, preferably in large, complex clinical ICT environments or a combination of study and work experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design, configuration, and implementation of digital health systems, with a solid understanding of system functionality, integration, and user-centred outcomes.
  • Proven capability to proactively identify and resolve potential issues by clearly defining problems, analysing root causes and collaborating with others to create and implement effective solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information from diverse sources, generate insightful reports, think innovatively, and deliver practical, business-oriented results.
