Safe Wayz Clinician/Coordinator

What you will bring to the role

1. Applicants must hold one of the below eligible qualifications: a) Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or b) Psychology: General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and, for Senior Psychologist, a current Senior Psychologist or eligible for Senior Psychologist grading (with no less than 12 months service at the 9th year of service and thereafter rate) and, for Clinical Psychologist, an accredited Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology; or c) Bachelor, Master or Doctorate Degree in Counselling with current listing on ARCAP (Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and current membership of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia)
2. Experience providing culturally safe trauma focused therapeutic supports for children and families in regard to sensitive and complex issues whilst applying child protection policy and risk management strategies.
3. Highly developed interpersonal communication skills including mentoring, coaching, influencing and educating.
4. Demonstrated high level of understanding of the intersection between issues of sexual assault, domestic violence, child protection, PHSBs with ability to apply relevant policy and procedure.
5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others, manage conflict and apply critical reflection skills to foster strong clinical outcomes.
6. Demonstrated experience participating in and/or leading quality improvement activities, service development and evaluation activities.
7. Demonstrated high level time management and administrative organisational skills.
8. Current drivers License and willingness to travel across the District as well as ability to attend Nepean hospital within 1 hour of when allocated shifts on the 24/7 crisis roster.
