At the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, every role helps children and young people live their healthiest lives.
As the largest paediatric health service in Australia, we care for thousands of children each year, in hospital and at home. Our people are united by compassion, collaboration and excellence in care.
The Research Assistant (RA) will primarily work on tasks related to the establishment, maintenance and reporting of a national registry for Achondroplasia. This research is vital in the context of recently available and PBS-approved disease-modifying therapy, resulting in the need to better understand the trajectory of treated and untreated achondroplasia. Interstate collaboration for a registry is important to generate adequately powered data for this rare disease. In addition, the RA may be required to assist with research-related tasks within the broader Kids Rehab department.
The Research Assistant role was established 12 months ago, with ethics and governance activities mostly complete. The primary focus of the next 12 months will be supporting the collection of data.
What you'll be doing
