Where you'll be working
Are you a passionate, team-oriented Physiotherapist who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care?
Located in the Lower Hunter, the Kurri Kurri Rehabilitation Unit offers a rewarding and engaging work environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families. This temporary full-time role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain experience, develop your skills, and be part of a team that values innovation, wellbeing, and professional excellence.
The Physiotherapy team at Kurri Kurri Rehabilitation Unit is seeking a dedicated Level 1/2 Physiotherapist for a temporary full-time position. This is a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive team, providing exceptional care to a diverse caseload that includes neurological, orthopaedic, and geriatric rehabilitation inpatients.
What you'll be doing
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based Physiotherapy care as part of our 24-bed inpatient rehabilitation service. You will manage a fulfilling and varied caseload, working confidently within your scope of practice while being supported by experienced senior clinicians. Your work will contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and help shape best-practice service delivery.
You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and discharge planning of inpatients, collaborating closely with allied health, nursing, and medical staff to ensure holistic and coordinated care. You’ll participate in regular clinical supervision, reflective practice, and professional development activities, while actively engaging in service development and education opportunities.
About you
We are looking for a motivated Physiotherapist who is AHPRA-registered, with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centred care. Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A willingness to learn, grow, and respond positively to feedback will be key to your success in this role.
In return, you’ll be part of a supportive and welcoming team environment. You’ll receive ongoing clinical support from two full-time senior Physiotherapists and be encouraged to further your development through monthly in-services across the Lower Hunter, multidisciplinary education sessions, and our unit’s regular journal club and reflective practice meetings.
