The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team on Wade Ward. Wade ward is a 15-bed inpatient adolescent unit, specialising in the provision of developmentally appropriate care for young people with a range of medical, surgical, and psychological conditions. Wade ward provides an adolescent friendly environment, where young people with complex or chronic illness can develop self-management skills in preparation for transition to adult services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their nursing skills in a supported environment, working with adolescents with a range of medical and psychosocial needs.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Recent paediatric experience as a registered nurse in a hospital setting.
  5. Effective time management skills
  6. Computer literacy.
  7. Capacity to work a seven (7) day rotating roster including public holidays
