About the role: Registered Nurse - Maple Leaf House

At Maple Leaf House, you will be part of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team comprising psychology, psychiatry, social work, speech pathology, dietetics, and specialist nursing and medical professionals, all supported by a dedicated administrative team.

We are seeking a compassionate and gender-affirming Registered Nurse (RN) to join this unique and inclusive service. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care by assessing and monitoring health status and vital signs, administering medications, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and working collaboratively with fellow healthcare professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.

As our Registered Nurse, you will be fully supported by experienced Clinical Nurse Consultants and a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, ensuring you have the guidance, resources, and professional development opportunities needed to thrive in this specialised environment.


Where you’ll be working:

Maple Leaf House stands as one of only two specialist service hubs in NSW dedicated to delivering holistic, outpatient care for young people up to 25 years who are transgender, gender diverse, or gender exploring. Operated through the esteemed John Hunter Children’s Hospital, this service provides compassionate, inclusive, and comprehensive support tailored to each individual’s journey.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
