About the Service:

Our renal service is a vibrant and collaborative environment of 20–24 passionate nurses (RNs and ENs) delivering safe, compassionate care across three key locations:

  • Dialysis Ward – Level 3
    Six-chair unit supporting admitted patients requiring inpatient dialysis.
  • Nita Reed Renal Unit
    A 10-bed community and outpatient space for stable dialysis patients.
  • Foster Satellite Unit
    Six-bed unit within a private hospital providing independent care for highly stable patients.

About the Role:
In this position, you’ll work morning or afternoon shifts from Monday to Saturday, with no night duty or on-call. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and setting up dialysis machines, managing a patient load of approximately 1:3 or 1:4, monitoring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure and weight, and participating in daily safety huddles. You’ll support patients throughout their 4.5–5.5-hour treatments, perform cannulation, and provide care within a primary nursing model.
