Join the Oncology Day Unit at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital where we deliver person-centred cancer care that makes a real difference. Located in the vibrant city of Armidale, our unit provides comprehensive treatment and support services for patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses. You’ll be part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team focused on clinical excellence, empathy, and advocacy—delivering treatment and comfort throughout each patient’s journey.



About the role:

As a Registered Nurse in our Oncology Day Unit, you’ll be at the forefront of patient care, delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This is a rewarding and varied role where you’ll engage with patients and families to ensure they feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their care experience.

Your work will include:

  • Providing safe and effective oncology nursing care tailored to individual needs
  • Supporting patients and families through complex treatment pathways and emotional moments
  • Making appropriate referrals to ensure continuity of care and a smooth discharge process
  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes
  • Responding to clinical changes and providing mentoring to junior nursing staff and students
