What you'll be doing
The Oncology Ambulatory Care Centre provides ambulatory care to oncology patients who are being treated by The Children’s Hospital at Westmead’s Cancer Centre for Children and Advanced Therapeutics, within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN). Patient care is provided in an ambulatory setting to minimise the substantial impact of the cancer diagnosis and treatment on family life. The aim of the Oncology Ambulatory Care Centre is to provide a range of ambulatory and community services for children and young people living with cancer from a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to achieve the best health outcomes and maximise the quality of life for children, young people and their carers within the cancer service. We specialise in providing expert and compassionate outpatient care to children and young people living with cancer. Nurses working on this unit work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective, timely and coordinated care. Our focus in ambulatory and community services allows us to maintain normality for families during challenging times, providing care both in our treatment centre and in patients’ homes. Join our team if you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families living with cancer. We are offering Full time or Part time positions.
