About the Role
We have a fantastic team in the Acute Inpatient Unit where we focus on delivering exceptional, patient-centred care while supporting work/life balance through flexible arrangements, a Wellness Committee, and team-building activities. Leadership encourages personal learning and professional development, ensuring engagement and satisfaction in your role.
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and the multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering quality, efficient, and effective care that meets the needs of patients and families.
- Advocating for patients and supporting informed decision-making.
- Making appropriate referrals to support patients’ needs on discharge.
- Responding to emergencies and changes in patient status.
- Supervising and mentoring staff, including ENs, AINs, and students on clinical placement.
- Working within professional boundaries, ethical standards, and cultural respect.
You will be supported by the Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator, and wider multidisciplinary team. Orientation, clinical supervision, and ongoing educational opportunities are provided to help you grow your skills and confidence.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Experience in Cardiology or Telemetry
- Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries in patient care.
- Ability to apply evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Capacity to advocate for and implement individualised person-centred care.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to share professional expertise to enhance patient care.
