About the Role
Harm Reduction Program provides a number of services that aim to reduce the transmission of blood borne viruses. This includes the Needle and Syringe Program, which is an evidence based public health program that provides sterile injecting equipment, peer support and healthcare navigation to people who inject drugs. Additionally, the Primary Health Care service offers multidisplinary assessment, treatment and referral for vulnerable people including those who inject drugs.

Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Demonstrated commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems.
