What you'll be doing
In this role, you’ll deliver high‑quality perioperative and day surgery nursing care, supporting positive outcomes for patients and their families within a dynamic clinical environment.
Deliver safe, efficient and person‑centred nursing care across the Operating Suite and Day Only Ward
Monitor and respond to changing patient conditions, escalating and delegating care appropriately
Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to support continuity of care
Supervise, mentor and support enrolled nurses, assistants in nursing and students
Manage resources effectively while maintaining professional standards and scope of practice

Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated recent experience with the scrubs/scout role in an operating suite
Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centered care
Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
Demonstrated commitment to professional development
Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team
