About the Opportunity

4C is a dynamic and fast-paced medical ward caring for a broad range of patients, including cardiac, stroke, and complex general medical cases. This diverse case mix provides an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of clinical skills while working within a highly supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team.

The ward is located at Maitland Hospital, a modern, purpose-built facility designed to support contemporary models of care. With state-of-the-art equipment, improved patient flow, and thoughtfully designed clinical spaces, the environment enhances both patient care and staff experience.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality patient care in a busy medical ward environment. Your role will include patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and ongoing clinical monitoring.

You will coordinate patient care, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

You won't be working alone. You will be supported by the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), the Clinical Nurse Educators (CNE's) as well as your fellow senior RN's. You will receive a structured orientation program that will allow you to confidently step into the role seamlessly. Ongoing education and support are not only encouraged, but truly championed by the team at 4C.

Essential requirements:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
⭐ Relevant clinical experience in a medical setting
⭐ Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to priorities competing workloads within a complex environment
⭐ Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care.
⭐ Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
