Where Care Feels Like Community – Nursing at Tingha MPS
Tingha Multipurpose Service (MPS) is a small, close-knit rural healthcare facility where compassionate aged care, teamwork, and community connection come together. With 9 residential aged care beds and a First Aid Post, Tingha MPS plays a vital role in supporting older people and families in the local community. Our team is known for its supportive culture, genuine collaboration, and willingness to step in and help one another. After hours, the Registered Nurse in Charge leads the facility with confidence, supported by experienced colleagues, approachable clinical leaders, and a strong relationship with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).
If you’re looking for meaningful work where you can build strong relationships with residents, families, and your team—this is the job for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
A typical shift at Tingha MPS involves delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care to our aged-care residents while overseeing the First Aid Post requirements. You will work collaboratively within a small, multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing safe and effective clinical care to aged care residents
Leading the facility after hours as the RN in Charge
Coordinating care plans, assessments, and documentation
Liaising with families, carers, and visiting clinical teams
Supporting personal care needs and maintaining resident wellbeing
Responding to First Aid Post presentations in accordance with MPS guidelines
Every day offers a chance to make a genuine impact in a calm, community-focused environment where your skills and judgement are truly valued.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Registered Nurse who brings compassion, professionalism, and strong clinical capability to our small but dedicated team.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong assessment, time-management, and organisational abilities
Ability to lead a small team, particularly after hours
Confidence working in aged care, or a willingness to learn
Sound clinical judgement and the ability to work autonomously
Experience in aged care nursing is highly valued but not required—several skills can be developed with training and on-the-job support. What is non-negotiable is a commitment to safe, respectful, and person-centred care.
How You’ll Be Supported
You will be warmly welcomed and supported from day one, with:
A thorough orientation program tailored to the MPS environment
Ongoing guidance from the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM)
Supportive team culture with collaborative staff who want you to succeed
Access to professional development, education resources, and training through My Health Learning
Opportunities to grow your aged care and rural nursing skills
At Tingha MPS, you will never feel like just a number—your development, confidence, and wellbeing matter to us.
