Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Midwives to join our dynamic casual pool team. In this role, you will ensure optimal outcomes for women and their families by promoting best practice and appropriately escalating care when required. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary health team, using effective communication to plan, implement, assess, and evaluate patient care. Acting as an advocate for all women and their families, you will provide culturally sensitive and inclusive care, including support for Indigenous and multicultural communities, and deliver specialised care for women undergoing complex procedures.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in midwifery
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide woman centred care within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements
- Available to undertake rotation to Nepean Birth Unit for 4 weeks each year
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
