What you'll be doing
As a Medical Radiation Scientist in the Radiology Department, you will play a key role in delivering patient-focused diagnostic imaging services while upholding professional standards and departmental policies.
- Perform high-quality imaging services with patient-centered care.
- Ensure compliance with the Radiation Control Act and safety protocols.
- Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster, including on-call duties.
- Educate and support patients, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
- Maintain confidentiality, infection control, and workplace safety.

Essential Criteria:
License: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in a minimum of two imaging modalities.
- Experience working in a busy hospital environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise through development of protocols, clinical reviews and delivery of in-services and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and assist with the on-going education and training of MRS’ colleagues, across modalities, including complex clinical procedures.
