About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Radiographer to join us in the Griffith Medical Imaging Department to provide a high-quality medical imaging service to MLHD patients to support the provision of optimal patient health outcomes.
As a temporary relief contract this is the perfect opportunity to kick start your career in health within our supportive Radiology team in the newly renovated Griffith Base Hospital. You will get the opportunity to work with state of the art technology and work across a range of modalities.
As a Radiographer, you will be responsible for:
Performing a wide range of Medical Imaging examinations
Providing and managing a safe environment for all patients, staff and the public
Assisting with prioritising the workload with respect to the competing demands for the provision of medical imaging services for both inpatients and outpatients.
Participating in the 24hrs/7day roster and on-call rosters to provide after-hours cover where and when acceptable

Our ideal candidate will:
Hold a tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging, with registration to AHPRA under the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
Hold a current NSW EPA Radiation Licence.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with department managers and staff, other hospital staff, private referrers, contracted agencies, patients and family members.
Show the ability to independently perform the full range of Medical Imaging procedures and appropriate interventional examinations in accordance with department requirements.
Hold an unrestricted Driver’s Licence – with ability to drive for afterhours on-call and outreach Xray Services.
