The Nepean Blue Mountains Health District offers a wide range of Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures through our various facilities/services with a goal to help diagnose, assess, and treat patient's injury or disease.

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Radiation Scientist to provide high-quality imaging services that are patient-focused and aligned with the district’s objectives and policies. In this role, you will be personally accountable for your professional conduct, adhering to the Code of Conduct for medical radiation practitioners as set by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.

You will perform radiographic examinations, participate in a 24/7 roster including on-call duties, and rotate between Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital and Nepean Hospital as required. Your responsibilities include maintaining optimal radiographic standards, ensuring accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System and PACS, and correctly identifying and labelling all images. You will also liaise with the Chief Radiographer and Director of Medical Imaging to ensure equipment is maintained and fully functional.
