Provisional Fellow - Community Child Health - Liverpool Hospital
What you'll be doing
To provide Community Paediatric services for children and adolescents at risk with a focus on children with a developmental disability and to obtain advanced training in Community Child Health fields of Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics.
The fellow will be involved in developmental assessment clinics, with opportunities for experience in assessing and managing children with developmental difficulties, behavioural issues and autism, as well as follow-up of neonates from the Liverpool NICU. There are also opportunities to become involved in a range of other clinics, including exposure to mental health clinics. The fellow is encouraged to participate in the research and population health activities of the department.
This position is available for the 2025 Clinical Year, twelve months commencing 3rd February 2025. Job sharing and flexible working arrangements for these positions are negotiable. This role is 0.5FTE.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) as an advanced trainee or equivalent. Those registered with the RACP, must have completed a minimum 6 months as an advanced trainee with RACP (or equivalent) at commencement of Fellowship.
- Six months experience in Community Child Health or equivalent. Please detail relevant experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
- Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, with a willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
- Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal.
- Able to meet on call requirements of the individual positions.
