About Our Role
Our Provisional Fellow in Neurology (Epilepsy) provides effective clinical management of patients with epilepsy, especially complex epilepsy under appropriate supervision, including patient assessment, making treatment decisions, performing procedures and maintaining adequate medical records; and to develop expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment as part of the services of the Institute of Neurological Sciences.

Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Services is a major teaching hospital and tertiary referral centre based on the Randwick Hospitals Campus. We provide excellent healthcare to SESLHD and specialist health and medical services to NSW. We connect with various universities including the University of New South Wales. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
Currently undertaking or completion of Advanced Training in Neurology and/or relevant Fellowship qualification. Demonstrated experience and ability in reporting EEG.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
Demonstrated high level communication skills, including the ability to convey, and adapt verbal and written information to a clinical and non-clinical audience
Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
Demonstrated high level independent clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem solve with an awareness of limitations and ability to learn independently and modify behaviour accordingly.
Demonstrated interest and commitment to further education and practice in Neurology - Epilepsy.
You must also be willing to be available for on-call for stroke (with the NSW Telestroke Service) and rounds on Sunday and public holidays. Preference for those willing to live within 20 minutes of the hospital.
