- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- FRACS (Cardiothoracic) or assessed as substantially or partially equivalent
- Commitment and ability to perform as a Provisional Fellow in Cardiothoracic Surgery within SWSLHD with participation in the on call Cardiothoracic Surgery roster
- Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting
- Demonstrated clinical competence in managing surgical patients
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex hospital based clinical environment
- Evidence of continued professional development specific to Cardiothoracic Surgery and commitment to self-education and teaching undergraduate and postgraduates
- Evidence of Cardiothoracic Surgery specific research projects completed or being undertaken
