About the role:

 

With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we’re enhancing health and wellness while developing your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia. As the Project Manager within the Strategy Access Partnerships team, your focus will be on managing the project related activities and providing project management expertise. You’ll work with partners internally and externally to provide expert advice in project management, risk/issue identification and management and relationship management. You’ll use your experience and your project management ability to successfully engage with stakeholders across NSW Health to monitor deliverables and action task management improvements. Your capabilities in project management and knowledge of the NSW Health system will underpin your success as you contribute to the project delivery of the Single Front Door program. Strong analytical skills, written communication, and people skills are essential, as well as a proven ability to implement strategic initiatives and work effectively with diverse teams.

 

Health Manager level 4, starting salary from $141,974 - $169,151plus Super, with a 38-hour work week.


What you’ll be doing

 

  • Develop and maintain productive internal and external stakeholder relationships through effective communication, collaboration, consultation, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables and strategic objectives are met.
  • Prepare high quality and accurate written materials (project schedules, reports, meeting papers, strategies, presentations and briefings) for managers, senior executives, the Minister and other parts of Government to influence and inform strategic decisions, directions and problem solving.
  • Adopt flexible and innovative approaches in changing situations to ensure over-arching objectives are still achieved.
  • Review and advise on program deliverables, risks & issues between MoH and external suppliers, with emphasis on budget, schedule and resource control
  • Develop, implement and track performance metrics for existing and new projects

 

About you:

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

 

  • Extensive Project Management Experience and the ability to plan and implement complex projects on time
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills and a proven ability to deliver high-quality work in a demanding professional environment
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) including the ability to synthesise and present complex concepts to diverse audiences to support strategic decision making
  • Advanced MS Project & Excel skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in health preparing advice to executives to support informed decision making and implementation of complex projects.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven experience in delivering large projects on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
