The Program Manager will lead the Adult Survivors Program, overseeing strategy, implementation, and governance for adult survivors of child sexual abuse.

What you'll be doing
The Program Manager for the Adult Survivors Program plays a crucial role in driving the success of a new initiative by NSW Health designed to support adult survivors of child sexual abuse. This role encompasses strategic oversight, implementation, and governance of the program, with a focus on creating a sustainable, trauma-informed care model.

  • Lead and manage the Adult Survivors Program, including strategic management and implementation.
  • Oversee governance, business planning, risk and budget management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and sustain a local care model aligned with NSW Health’s statewide requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Clinical Coordinator for effective program implementation.
  • Use a strengths-based, culturally appropriate, and trauma-informed approach; manage staff and financial responsibilities.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline; and/or significant work experience in violence, abuse and neglect, trauma informed care, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and/or complex project management.
  2. Demonstrated strong leadership skills and ability to work autonomously to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change.
  3. Demonstrated advanced level project management skills, including proficiency in software required to prepare complex and clearly communicated plans, implementation support documents and reports, including proficiency in Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel.
  4. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including Ministry of Health, senior management, project team partners, consumers and other key stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
  6. Demonstrated capacity to manage complex health and/or community service-related projects and change initiatives to achieve planned outcomes, including project planning, financial monitoring and management, and project evaluation and reporting.
  7. Demonstrated understanding of intergenerational trauma and the principles of cultural safety, with experience in (or commitment to) providing culturally responsive services to individuals and families.
  8. Current NSW Class C driver’s licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
