About The Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is seeking a talented and dynamic Power BI Developer to complement the Data and Analytics team within Digital Health.

You will be an outstanding collaborator and pro-active problem-solver, with excellent technical Power BI skill to transform complex datasets into clear visual stories and results. You will also have a passion for developing data solutions which support positive health service improvement performance.



What You'll Be Doing
The Power BI developer will be responsible for driving data excellence across South West Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD), focusing on workspace and content management, comprehensive documentation, report / dashboard creation and data model development.

You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure data-driven decisions are made efficiently and effectively, in support of operational and strategic goals.

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent related experience.
  2. Outline your understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack, including Premium Capacity Services (Power BI Dashboards, Datasets, Dataflows and Azure Data Factory), Enterprise On-premises products (SQL Server Enterprise, SSAS, SSRS and SSIS) and related development languages such as Power Query, DAX, C#.
  3. Describe your experience as a Power BI Developer, with proficiency in creating complex Power BI reports and dashboards which have improved business practice.
  4. Outline your understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices, including experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  5. Provide examples of your experience in business analysis and product design, capturing and interpreting business requirements/ processes, designing and implementing business solutions, with an appreciation of user interface / experience considerations.
  6. How do you use your highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience and ability to ensure clarity of requirements and satisfaction with delivered solutions?
  7. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
