The Post Graduate Fellow will provide high quality clinical care, diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at the level of a Post Graduate Fellow, and participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Orthopaedic and Trauma Department, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics as required. They will ensure high standards of professional performance and contribute to an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery Fellow provides expert care and clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within the fields of trauma and injury with particular emphasis on orthopaedic injuries. The Trauma Fellow develops, facilitates, implements and evaluates care management plans for trauma patients.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in Orthopaedics and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award. (Note: Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship prior to, or within three months of the expected commencement date, may be considered.)
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
