About the role:

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Physiotherapists to join our team and play a vital role in delivering high quality patient care.  

We have various positions on offer:

  • Orthopaedics Physiotherapy– Permanent Full Time, Part Time or Casual

  • Emergency Short Stay Unit – Part Time (6 hours) or Casual

This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinician looking to develop their career within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You will work alongside experienced clinicians and contribute to a collaborative team committed to delivering person centred care across MLHD services.

As the Physiotherapist, you will: 

  • Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and management of patients within the orthopaedic service, in line with evidence-based practice and relevant models of care.

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and facilitate safe and timely discharge planning.

  • Provide education and guidance to patients, families, carers and other health professionals to support continuity of care.

  • Contribute to the supervision and delegation of tasks to Allied Health Assistants and students where appropriate.

  • Develop cultural competence and demonstrate a commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal peoples.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA.

  2. Demonstrated knowledge, clinical skills and experience in physiotherapy practice, with the ability to deliver patient centred, evidence-based care across orthopaedic settings.

  3. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands.

  4. Ability to analyse clinical problems, apply sound judgement and implement appropriate treatment strategies within scope of practice.
