The Opportunity
The Pharmacy Technician reports to the Director of Pharmacy. In this role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring optimal medication supply to the wards. Their responsibilities will encompass a spectrum of tasks, from dispensing inpatient, discharge, and outpatient medications to ward imprest duties. They will actively engage in quality improvement activities, striving to enhance processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Through consistent inventory management practices, they will maintain the accuracy of pharmaceutical stock levels, ensuring its usability within the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy support staff, other members of the multidisciplinary team and patients.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and good attention to detail. They will have be a team player, keen to learn and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. For candidates looking to transition from community pharmacy, on site supportive training will be provided.
 
Requirements
  1. Participate in weekend and public holiday rosters and do overtime as required.

  3. Proven capacity to work as a team member
