About the Role
You will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
The Grade 1/2 Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of quality pharmaceutical services to inpatients and outpatients. Grade 1 and 2, rotate between the clinical & service area rosters. On clinical duties they provide pharmaceutical care to inpatients and in the service areas they provide pharmacy support to the dispensaries and production. Pharmacists, Grade 1 and 2, provide education and medicines information services to patients and other health care professionals and participate as active members of multi-disciplined teams.

Ideal Candidate
- Current Pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligible for immediate registration, and able to practice independently. Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Award and are expected to be able to demonstrate continual ability to meet three of the five competencies within the Award.
- Ability to apply current and good practical therapeutic knowledge in a clinical environment.
- Understanding of the priorities and requirements of hospital pharmacy.
