About the Role

The Patient Billing Services Manager leads the coordination of patient billing workflows between Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) and HealthShare NSW, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant revenue collection. The role actively collaborates with stakeholders to develop, implement, and continuously improve best-practice patient billing workflow processes across SLHD and supporting revenue performance and operational efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications in health administration, finance, business, or a related field and/or extensive relevant work experience.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence, and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives. Demonstrated capacity to produce clear, professional written documentation tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve performance targets in a high-volume billing setting, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to review, develop and implement robust and sustainable billing process workflows to drive efficient and effective performance outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical skills with a track record of interpreting complex billing data, identifying trends, and implementing proactive solutions to resolve discrepancies and optimise operational efficiency.
