What you'll be doing
This role leads the delivery and governance of palliative and acute medicine pharmacy services, ensuring safe, timely and patient centred medication management.
⢠Oversee palliative care pharmacy services and dispensary operations
⢠Provide advanced clinical advice for complex patient care needs
⢠Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise outcomes
⢠Supervise and support pharmacy staff and service delivery
⢠Lead quality improvement, audits and policy development

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Full Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g., Bachelor of Pharmacy.
Registration: Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
Selection Criteria
Full registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia with no conditions or restrictions on scope of Practice.
Extensive experience in the provision of advanced clinical pharmacy services including advanced level practice in end of life and Palliative care in a hospital setting.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead, supervise, support, and mentor pharmacy staff and students, foster a positive team culture, and contribute to workforce capability development.
Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical support education.
Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and other stakeholders and the ability and experience to write policies/protocols and guidelines.
