About the Opportunity
As part of the Organisational Development, Culture & Diversity (ODCD) team, you will work with a vibrant, close-knit team that aligns people, strategy, and processes to solve the District’s challenging people and culture problems. Work with both clinical and non-clinical leaders that requires a high degree of technical expertise to support leaders to be their best.

We have recently launched our new SWSLHD Leadership Strategy 2025-2028. This role presents a unique and exciting opportunity to create and deliver several of the District’s signature leadership and management programs.

In addition to leadership and management development this role also plays an important part in delivering organisational development projects to support executive leadership teams across the District, in areas including but not limited to operational planning, leader assessment and coaching, performance development and culture change.

While the role is primarily based at Liverpool Hospital’s Eastern Campus, we work with stakeholders from across the District and some travel is required. Our main sites apart from Liverpool include Fairfield, Campbelltown, Camden, Bankstown, and Bowral.

Flexible work arrangements are available subject to team workflow and organisational needs, including up to 2-days working from home per week, flexibility to work across sites and flexible start and finish times.

 

What You'll be Doing
The Organisational Development Consultant will be involved in the planning, design, consultation, implementation and evaluation of strategic initiatives relating to values, leadership, organisational capability, diversity, talent management and employee engagement aligned to SWSLHD’s Strategic Plan and Workforce Plan. The position provides support the successful implementation of programs and practices. Specifically, this role will act as a key contributor to education and organisational development projects and programs of work to support people, systems and process change to enhance organisational effectiveness.

SWSLHD is recognised as a leading provider of education, training and organisational development initiatives to a health workforce of over 17,000 staff.  Education and Organisational Development Services (EODS) supports the achievement of the LHDs strategic goals, with a focus on supporting our staff to positively transform how our patients, consumers, staff and communities experience our organisation and services.
 
The department consists of staff with expertise in clinical and non-clinical education and organisational development focussed on the delivery of the EODS Operational Plan. The departments programs and services focus on enabling a positive workplace culture, developing high performing teams and ensuring our work environment attracts and retains talent. The key portfolios within the department include Multidisciplinary Clinical Education & Development Unit, Corporate and Support Services Education & Development, Learning Hub, Organisational Development, Culture & Diversity Unit and Future Workforce Support Unit.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, psychology, leadership development, project management or related field and/or demonstrated practical experience.
  2. Provide an overview of your experience delivering organisational development initiatives including but not limited to leadership and management development, talent management, performance development and culture change. 
  3. Please describe your approach to designing leadership development programs for individuals working in complex, fast-paced environments. Share one example of a frontline leadership program that you were involved in delivering and describe the steps you took to ensure a great participant experience.
  4. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
