Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
What you'll be doing
Overall responsibilities include the preparation of operating theatre equipment, transport of patients, specimens and equipment, assisting with the transfer, positioning, prepping and / or restraining of patients, cleaning of floors and furniture, removal of soiled linen and waste, deboxing and restocking supplies and maintaining safe and hygienic conditions within the operating suite and medical imaging.
About You
You are a reliable and adaptable health services professional with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multi‑disciplinary healthcare team. You demonstrate flexibility in taking direction from multiple areas across Theatres and Medical Imaging, consistently meeting operational demands with minimal supervision.
You bring a solid understanding of hospital cleaning requirements and infection control policies, applying this knowledge to maintain safe, hygienic environments for patients, staff, and visitors. You are committed to upholding patient confidentiality at all times, recognising its importance in delivering ethical and respectful care.
You take initiative in dynamic environments, responding confidently to changing priorities while effectively organising tasks and solving problems as they arise. Your commitment to ongoing self‑development ensures you continue to grow your skills and contribute meaningfully to the workplace.
You are dependable and prepared to participate in a 7‑day rotating roster, supporting service continuity and demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
