We’re looking for a Perioperative Operations Assistant to join our skilled and supportive team. Whether you're experienced in healthcare or eager to start your journey in the perioperative space, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!



Role Breakdown

As a crucial member of our perioperative unit, you’ll help keep our operating theatres running smoothly and safely. Working closely with nursing and surgical teams, you will:

  • Ensure essential equipment is available, clean, and functioning
  • Maintain stock and manage supplies for procedures
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleaning and waste management (in line with ACORN guidelines)
  • Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and inter-operative tasks
  • Transport specimens and support smooth theatre workflows

You'll be supporting a range of surgical specialties across our three modern theatres and endoscopy suite, including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, obstetrics/gynaecology, urology, and more.


Rostering

You will work on a rotating roster, with shifts including: 

  • Monday to Friday       7:30am – 4:00pm // 8:00am – 4:30pm // 10:30am – 7:00pm
  • Weekend on call        8:00am – 6:30pm
