Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Oncology Pharmacist who is ready for a new adventure. As the Oncology Pharmacist, you will lead the safe, effective and efficient transition to State Contract (Contract 861) for the supply of pharmaceuticals to MLHD managed oncology service to our regional Deniliquin communities. This is your opportunity to step into a position where you are in charge and no two days are the same. You will have opportunities to work within a range of settings, including our clinicians and other relevant staff at all levels in each oncology clinic within MLHD.

About the role:

The Senior Oncology Pharmacist, will develop and deliver high standard clinical pharmacy, dispensary and compounding services to MLHD patients across District Cancer Services and Innovations.

As the Senior Oncology Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

  • Working alongside oncology Patients, Stakeholders and Clinicians across MLHD
  • Leading the safe, effective and efficient transition to State Contract (Contract 861) for the supply of pharmaceuticals to MLHD managed oncology services
  • Undertaking project and change management activities within the oncology pharmacy services

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • An in-depth understanding and ability to provide Pharmacy services in a curious and empathetic way
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Pharmacy and registered with AHPRA with no restrictions on scope of practice and extensive experience in a hospital and capabilities commensurate for a pharmacist Grade 3 classification.
  • High level of professionalism with ability to work independently and as part of a large team
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise services where necessary
