Where you'll be working
The Occupational Therapy service at Maitland Hospital works across the medical, surgical, paediatric and intensive care wards as well as the Emergency Department. We are a patient centred, supportive OT team that works within a wider collaborative multi-disciplinary team to facilitate recovery and appropriate discharge from hospital.
The Opportunity
This role is an 8-hour Saturday position to facilitate discharges for elective orthopaedic patients and promote patient flow through the hospital. Support is provided by the Site Senior OT as well as the rest of the OT team. Full orientation based on individual needs and experiences will be provided. Education and training opportunities are available in consultation with the Site Senior OT. If you have the following skills, apply today!
💡Significant experience working on the wards in an acute hospital with elective orthopaedic patients
💡A wide variety of other clinical conditions and competing pressures around discharge.
💡You will be able to prioritise work, liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, raise concerns regarding discharge and work autonomously.
