Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.

The role includes participation in regular formal supervision in line with Allied Health policies, maintaining daily activity reporting, and working within organisational risk management, safety, infection control and quality frameworks. You may also provide supervision to work experience students and students on observational clinical placements.

What you will bring to the role
 
  1. Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board AHPRA, and current class C NSW drivers licence or equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated clinical experience and ability to provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention in a variety of clinical areas including acute inpatient setting (Medical / Surgical / Aged Care) and sub-acute rehabilitation setting.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, including ability to manage routine clinical matters with minimal supervision
  4. Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication with consumers, teams and agencies, with experience in clinical documentation, formal reporting and clinical handover.
  5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Demonstrated high level of effective organisational and time management skills
  7. Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant evidence based practice resources to guide decision- making and commitment to quality improvement.
