Where you'll be working

Join the Mental Health & Substance Use Service (MHSUS), a specialised team providing comprehensive assessments, centre-based programs, and care coordination for adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our service is grounded in an evidence-based, integrated treatment model incorporating stages of change and motivational interviewing.

About the role

As an Occupational Therapist in MHSUS, you will play a key role in assessing and supporting consumers through individualised care coordination and group program facilitation. Your expertise will contribute to service-wide consultation, education, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives. You will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, benefiting from structured supervision, ongoing professional development, and an orientation to our evidence-based model of care.

About you

You are a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist with:

  • A current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality clinical services for consumers with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain therapeutic and professional relationships.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • The capacity to provide clinical leadership and contribute to service improvements.
