  • Extensive senior nursing leadership experience within intensive or critical care settings 
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex healthcare operations 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across multidisciplinary teams 
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical governance, quality improvement, and workforce management 
  • Passion for innovation, education, research, and developing high-performing teams 
 

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  • Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
  • Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the management of the unit and the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
