What you'll be doing
As Nurse Unit Manager Level 3, you will provide strategic and operational leadership of a mental health inpatient unit, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality nursing care for consumers and their families.
You will lead nursing staff, manage resources and foster a culture of accountability, person-centred care and continuous improvement.
Lead, coordinate and supervise nursing care and unit operations
Manage staffing, rostering, performance development and workforce capability
Drive evidence-based, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care
Ensure effective multidisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
Oversee budget, resources, quality improvement, safety and risk management

Essential Requirements
Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria

Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and relevant tertiary management qualifications or working towards same; with equivalent work experience in a Mental Health setting with demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and extensive post-graduate experience relevant to Mental Health nursing practice.
Demonstrated ability to manage nursing and resource allocations to deliver effective and efficient nursing care while considering budget implications.
Demonstrated high-level problem-solving, negotiation and adaptability skills, interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams across Mental Health Service.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead and implement change including new models of care and evidence-based practice designed to improve consumer experience and clinical outcomes.
Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills, and high-level computer literacy in Microsoft applications, including MS Teams, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
Demonstrated commitment to providing consumer-focused care and ability to embed clinical governance processes and continuous quality improvement within team practices.
