About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The Nursing Unit Manager role is responsible for the operational management and leadership of nursing/ staff to ensure the provision of high quality patient and family centred care and nursing and or midwifery excellence at unit/ward level. The Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 responsibilities in relation to patient services, ward or unit management and staff management are in excess of those of a Nursing Unit Manager Level 1.
This position is the Nursing Unit Manager for the Colorectal Surgery inpatient ward at RPAH and will be working Monday to Friday.

Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Proven clinical management and leadership experience in a tertiary/district health care facility.
- Holds or working towards relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in rostering; managing skill mix and care delivery models according to patient/service need.
